**Game Description**

Step into the shadowy world of **Bloodytears 3D**, a retro-style boomer shooter adventure platformer that pays homage to classic games like Castlevania. In a land shrouded in darkness, you play as Aric, a skilled warrior driven by vengeance and a burning desire to rid the world of Dracula’s curse. 

Years ago, Aric's family was slain by Dracula's minions, leaving him the sole survivor. Through relentless training, he became a mercenary monster hunter, mastering skills and abilities that would prepare him for this moment. Word has spread of Dracula's castle reappearing, casting its dark shadow over the land once more. With a burning desire for justice, Aric returns to the cursed village where his journey began.

Explore eerie towns, navigate treacherous mazes, and battle nightmarish creatures as you make your way towards Dracula's castle. Each level presents unique challenges, from the haunted graveyard forest to the labyrinth of blood-brick walls, leading to the lower levels and upper towers of Dracula's fortress. 

Along the way, uncover powerful artifacts and weapons, including a legendary magic whip, a bow, a sword, and mystical spells designed to smite evil. Guided by the ethereal voice of the angel Michelle, you must confront formidable bosses such as a giant skull, a hell beast, and ultimately, Dracula himself.

Will you have the courage and skill to vanquish Dracula and lift the curse that plagues the land?

**Development Notes**

The purpose behind the Bloodytears trilogy is to learn the mechanics and layouts of game engines before developing larger projects. While about half of the graphics are created by me using Aseprite and Paint.NET, I also utilize the GOTHICVANIA assets pack by Ansimuz for many decorations and props. This approach allows for streamlined learning and showcases the incredible artwork of Ansimuz.

STORY-

"In a time long forgotten, shadows of evil began to creep across the land. From the depths of legend, a sinister figure emerged: Dracula, the immortal lord of darkness. His return heralded an age of despair, as his minions spread terror across the countryside.

Amidst this chaos, a small village fell victim to Dracula’s insidious magic. Once vibrant, now a haunted ruin, the town’s inhabitants live in perpetual fear, haunted by the ever-present darkness.

Years ago, in the dead of night, Dracula’s minions claimed the lives of a family, leaving behind a single survivor. That child, driven by vengeance, grew into a skilled warrior named Aric. Through relentless training, he became a mercenary and monster hunter, honing his skills for the day he would face the source of his torment.

That day has come. Word has spread of Dracula's castle reappearing, casting its dark shadow over the land once more. With a burning desire for justice, Aric sets out towards the cursed village, where his journey began.

As he steps into the forsaken town, the air grows cold, and an ancient magic stirs. The ground beneath him quakes, revealing hidden paths and forgotten secrets. Aric must navigate the treacherous mazes, haunted forests, and perilous castle halls, confronting nightmarish creatures and uncovering powerful artifacts.
